Kathleen Cronin was born in the 'Big Apple' and relocated twice to Florida. Once in 1969 and then again (finally settling) in 1978 as a permanent resident of Palm Beach County.
Her spiritual journey began in New York City early on in life and expanded later on as life experiences led her closer and closer to God for strength, comfort, guidance and wisdom.
Her journey took a quantum leap on arriving in Florida. The stepping stones of her journey began when she started attending various organizations, churches, events, retreats, and seminars, learning more and more about God's Plan for her life.
As she looks back, an important 'moment in time' for her was when she discovered a copy of Unity's Daily Word in a stack of recycled National Geographic magazines a friend, Marilyn Johnson from Unity, had given her in the late 1970s for her daughter's school project.
Kathleen always gravitated towards positive thinking and “how to” books but reading the Daily Word was always uplifting, and of course, the message seemed for her personally!
She attended Unity of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach for years and began coming to Unity of Delray Beach when she moved to Delray over 16 years ago. She began volunteering and, after attending one of the 4T Programs, tithed her time. She volunteered first at the bookstore with Brenda Rosencranz, and then as an assistant volunteer for Miss Robin with the children in our Sunday School. 'Miss Kathleen' has now been involved with the 3-5 Unitots Sunday School class for over 7 years . . . her favorite place to be at 9:35 a.m. on Sunday mornings! Many of her life lessons and blessings have come from that 'little group of kids' and the other Sunday School teachers.
Kathleen joined the front office team at Unity of Delray Beach following a long winding road with many hats worn during her careers here in Florida ~ real estate, The National Enquirer, construction & land development, facilitator for Freedom From Smoking Programs (American Lung Association), staff & team member for the start-up of the Palm Beach Pops Orchestra, facilitator for Hearts & Hope (A wonderful organization offering a program for children ages 2-17, to support them throughout their loss of family members and grief experience), event planning assistant for corporate meetings & major events, and now, Unity of Delray Beach.
She feels that among the many things she has learned through Unity of Delray Beach is what fellowship means...the blessing and love of other folks who are a part of what makes Unity a special place.
The proud mother of artist Jineen Cronin, an additional title is as proud grandmother of Jovin Cronin, who is a college student in Boston.
Kathleen is a graduate of Our Lady Queen of Angels in New York City, and attended Palm Beach State College.
